Beautful Bride in Kosciusko

The First Baptist Church of Kosciusko was packed to the brim this Saturday for these two precious souls. I've known for a while that they were something special but yesterday, any one could tell just how much they are loved by their family and friends. Thank you Kayce and Jordan for allowing me to be a part of your day. I sure do love ya'll. PS. My offer for future sessions still stands.

Robbins duo have fun in Madison County

Ginger and Danny Robbins of Gluckstadt gave me a ring in the Fall to join them in Madison County for a half-day shoot at a friend's home ... and did it turn out to be a fun day.

Gorgeous weather, with a touch of overcast in the sky, made for some pretty nice photos.

We were all over the map with style and personality ... both are laid back and fun, with Ginger being a typical Southern Belle, and Danny being a noble Army Lt. Col. who exuded respect when wearing his dress blues.

We played with reflections, silhouettes, available light, strobes and reflectors ... all while maintaining the traditional, yet edgy wedding portraits.

Can't wait for the reception! ;)

Brittany Smith Bridals at Luckett

A great time was had at Luckett Lodge last week, primarily due to the company! Tammy and Brittany Smith joined me for a bridal portrait shoot overlooking the cypress slough.

The heat played havoc on faces, and the sudden summer thunder boomer provided a few wind gusts that took our strobes out of play for a short time.

But, we were able to make it all come together for some gorgeous shots!

Taste of Louisiana in Gum Springs

Heather and Christian wanted a small wedding, with close family and friends to help them celebrate their pending nuptials.

The wedding was small, romantic and lovely, but the personality around the event was off the charts! Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez is exactly the feeling at this outstanding event.

The bride wore a gorgeous, custom-made bridal gown, accented with black ... it was awesome! And the accentuating bridesmaids dresses made for a perfect photo.

On the guys' side, Christian and his groomsmen sported a traditional tux with classy striped ties ... and were the talk of the event by the ladies in attendance ... dapper to the bone, I think I heard!

The reception was where the 'taste' of Louisiana came in ...Heather's Aunt Lisa Dupont, of Moreauville, La., put together a spread fit for royalty ... including two exquisitely-designed bride and groom cakes. From bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp, to crawfish bread and Cajun enchiladas ... there wasn't an empty stomach left after this bash. I can't go without mentioning the five-layer, caramel cake from the bride's confection. OMG is all I can muster ... OMG!

Heather and Christian are honeymooning in Atlanta, and will reside in the Jackson area.

Nelson-Walls Nuptials

The Nelson-Walls event held in Raymond, Mississippi at the Eagle Ridge Conference Center this summer was hot in all aspects.

Though the temperature outdoors was hovering around 95 degrees, the predictable scattered thunderstorms helped cool off the temps, but not the fun of the day.

Christina had a gorgeous white dress, with red and white accents from the bouquet.

The theme of the event was Asian, with intricate fans, privacy walls and flowers throughout the facility.

The reception was oh, so festive, with Asian cuisine and desserts for all to enjoy.

All day, the bride, though nervous, provided some great shots that will long be remembered by friends and loved-ones.

Who ever said small towns don't know how to throw a party!?

Burns-Kraft wedding toast of Canton!

One of the best events of 2009, Amanda and Andy Kraft's wedding was as fun as it was beautiful.

Guests from all over the state arrived at the little church in Canton, to see the gorgeous couple and bridal party.

From the dress to the flowers, Amanda looked stunning. Some of the best shots were the simple poses by the stained-glass windows ... she is so at ease with the camera. :)

We were able to shoot indoors and outdoors around the church, and had a great time with the entire bridal party.

The reception was packed, with some guests scrambling to watch the LSU vs. Alabama football game, but focused their attention on the bride and groom as they arrived for the festivities. Gorgeous cakes, set apart from the rest of the decor with lots of candles and rose petals, had guests awestruck as they made their way into the venue.

Excellent photos with friends and family, and a band that brought out the fun in most guests, made this a fun event to work.

Ahhhhh, Canton!

Langley event outstanding

For Molly and Chase, the storybook Southern wedding was 100 percent achieved at a gorgeous plantation home in Yazoo County.

A typical summer thunder-boomer rolled through just before the event, but didn't dampen the spirits or the festivities at this bash. In fact, it cooled the temperatures just enough to make the Mississippi summer night bearable.

The bride and groom, showing their true love the entire day, were great in front of the camera.

This event was a joy to work, from a great bride and groom to the family and friends who showed what true hospitality was all about!

What a fun time, y'all!

Burns-Kraft Engagement

It's always fun to take a ride up the Natchez Trace to meet a couple for engagement photos.

And when a couple is fun, laid back and care free as Amanda Burns and Andy Kraft, the day just flows so nicely!

Amanda's sassy cowboy boots definitely brought out her unique personality, and Andy's photogenic smile was a pleasure to photograph.

With the wedding coming the first week in November, this is sure to be an outstanding event!

Can't wait for this one, guys!

Bartley Wedding: Fun at Luckett Lodge!

The Bartley-Cawthorne nuptials at Luckett Lodge on September 19 were just one part of a very festive day.

The scenescape at Luckett always offers the photographer outstanding backdrops for unforgettable pieces, but when a couple such as Tiffany and Quincy are added to the mix, it's pure magic.

The couple showed they were truly in love, rarely letting go of each other after the ceremony was complete. And though it was tough to get a smile from Quincy, the photos turned out beautifully.

Great couples and great venues make for great photographs!

Thanks, guys!
