Burns-Kraft wedding toast of Canton!

One of the best events of 2009, Amanda and Andy Kraft's wedding was as fun as it was beautiful.

Guests from all over the state arrived at the little church in Canton, to see the gorgeous couple and bridal party.

From the dress to the flowers, Amanda looked stunning. Some of the best shots were the simple poses by the stained-glass windows ... she is so at ease with the camera. :)

We were able to shoot indoors and outdoors around the church, and had a great time with the entire bridal party.

The reception was packed, with some guests scrambling to watch the LSU vs. Alabama football game, but focused their attention on the bride and groom as they arrived for the festivities. Gorgeous cakes, set apart from the rest of the decor with lots of candles and rose petals, had guests awestruck as they made their way into the venue.

Excellent photos with friends and family, and a band that brought out the fun in most guests, made this a fun event to work.

Ahhhhh, Canton!

Langley event outstanding

For Molly and Chase, the storybook Southern wedding was 100 percent achieved at a gorgeous plantation home in Yazoo County.

A typical summer thunder-boomer rolled through just before the event, but didn't dampen the spirits or the festivities at this bash. In fact, it cooled the temperatures just enough to make the Mississippi summer night bearable.

The bride and groom, showing their true love the entire day, were great in front of the camera.

This event was a joy to work, from a great bride and groom to the family and friends who showed what true hospitality was all about!

What a fun time, y'all!

Burns-Kraft Engagement

It's always fun to take a ride up the Natchez Trace to meet a couple for engagement photos.

And when a couple is fun, laid back and care free as Amanda Burns and Andy Kraft, the day just flows so nicely!

Amanda's sassy cowboy boots definitely brought out her unique personality, and Andy's photogenic smile was a pleasure to photograph.

With the wedding coming the first week in November, this is sure to be an outstanding event!

Can't wait for this one, guys!

Bartley Wedding: Fun at Luckett Lodge!

The Bartley-Cawthorne nuptials at Luckett Lodge on September 19 were just one part of a very festive day.

The scenescape at Luckett always offers the photographer outstanding backdrops for unforgettable pieces, but when a couple such as Tiffany and Quincy are added to the mix, it's pure magic.

The couple showed they were truly in love, rarely letting go of each other after the ceremony was complete. And though it was tough to get a smile from Quincy, the photos turned out beautifully.

Great couples and great venues make for great photographs!

Thanks, guys!

Hodge event the toast of the town!

It's always nice for a photographer to get to know a bride, and her family, as well. In the case of the Hodge family from Rankin County, Mississippi ... it was a joy to be able to spend time with such good people.

From the bride's family's hospitality, to the groom's family's fun and laid back personalities, this event was sho-nuff fun.

VIP Catering was on hand with some tasty treats for the more than 50 guests. There was even a string ensemble providing musical selections for guests and the bridal party to dance a bit on the portable dance floor. (This provided some fun shots, too!)

Weddings at private locations offer so much for the photographer, and the client. In this case, I think it worked out perfectly. ;)

Yazoo Bound

This will be a first for von Images ... a trip to 'almost' Delta country to Quiet Shades Plantation in Evans, Mississippi.

Miss Molly Langley and Mr. Chase Nicholson will exchange vows on the evening of May 23.

I'm excited to shoot this event, and even more excited for Molly and Chase. This should be a day for all to remember for years to come.

I'll post photos at the conclusion of the event as I try out my new laptop! :)

Pennsylvania couple takes in ALL of Mississippi!

Amanda and Kevin Shinal were the perfect bride and groom for a chilly January wedding in central Mississippi.

Luckett Lodge was the backdrop for a mid-winter Southern wedding, Mississippi style!

Amanda, who is originally from the area, treated her out-of-town guests (many of which had no notion of anything Southern) to some down-home hospitality and a taste of the South by taking them to Mama Hamil's.

So, with a good feel for what things are like Down South, it was a pleasure to see everyone in the bridal party and the guests enjoy themselves immensely while at Luckett. (I'm sure Angie and Jeff had a grand time!)

The lodge is a quaint little venue nestled in the backwoods of Rankin County just off of Holly Bush Road and Mississippi Highway 25 North.

The night was capped off, after a small ceremony in a chapel on the grounds, with a catered meal by VIP Events ... Remarquable!

Thanks for a memorable, and pleasurable event, Mr. and Mrs. Shinal! ;)
